The story begins with an old man named Carl Frederick, 78 years old, retired ballon salesman. His wife Ellie dreamed of visiting South America, when she died he promised to fulfill her dream.
When the developers threaten to move him into an assisted living home, he tied 10,000 balloons to the rooftop and set off to South Africa.
Unexpected things happened, a chubby 8 year old boy, named Russell knocked to his door and said he is a Junior Wilderness Explorer form Tribe 54, Sweat Lodge 12. And he wants to achieve the badge for "Assisting Elderly". He is equiped with lots of things, backpack w/ official Wilderness Explorer camping gear. He stowaway with Carl, and the truth is all his knowledge of outdoors comes from books and camping experience in his own living room.
