"See-Through-Goldfish"

Do you like having an aquarium full of variety of fish or a just a small bowl with a goldfish on it? Speaking of goldfish, here is something you should know and you might want one in your aquarium...

Ryukin is not your ordinary goldfish. It is a "translucent fish" created by Japanese scientists. The very reason why they created this is to eliminate dissecting. So if you found dissecting animals at your science class, you must be very thankful. This goldfish has an invisible scale, you can see its brain, heart and other internal organ while its alive. Isn't its amazing?! Ryukin goldfish was made by picking mutant hatchery goldfish with pale skin and breeding them together. This see-through fish will live 20 years and grow up to 10 inches long.

Blue Moon Eclipse

I talked to my mom a while ago, and since I wasn't able to celebrate new year with them, she told me what happened on New Years Eve. As usual, I missed the feast and the fun they had. She mentioned how beautiful the moon was... Its seldom to have full moon on new years eve. Then I read an amazing article about it with a photo of a beautiful moon, yet mysterious as ever.

It is said to be Blue Moon and a partial lunar eclipse, as the second Full Moon of December grazed the Earth's shadow on December 31st. The New Year's Eve Blue Moon eclipse was visible throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and parts of Alaska. Playing across the Moon's southern reaches, the edge of Earth's umbra, or dark central shadow, appears on the right side along with the prominent ray crater Tycho. At maximum eclipse, the umbra covered only about 8 percent of the diameter of the lunar disk.

The moon was so beautiful that it catches all the attention. And because it looks peculiar as well as amazing, it doesn't look like a usual full moon. But here is an explanation: It was the first Full Moon in December. Shining on celebrations of New Year's Eve, last night's Full Moon was the second Full Moon of December and so fits the modern definition of a Blue Moon - the second Full Moon in a month. Because the lunar cycle, Full Moon to Full Moon, spans 29.5 days, Blue Moons tend to occur in some month about every 2.5 years. Shining in the glare just above and right of December's first Full Moon is the Pleiades star cluster.

I never saw the moon last Dec. 31, and it really made me feel regretful because I never got to take photo of it.

Newly Shots

Last Tuesday, I was too early to go to work and decided to take a walk around greenbelt, Makati. My aim is to practice taking shots. Armed with Nikon D5000 with 18-55 VR lens, I know this is a standard kit lens, and yeah, has a lot of limitation when taking landscape photos. This is a practice, anyway... Honestly, I never had a point-and-shoot camera. For all the time, I used my camera phone and then suddenly jumped to advance entry-level SLR. But I'm sure everything will pay-off.

Here are my shots:

Since I can't get near to the flowers and orchids because someone is watering them, I was captivated by this bamboo-like plant.

I love the rich green color and the tall Hotel building behind.

I love looking at this tree, especially at night when the lanterns are light-up.

This is where I go every time I feel bored.

Well, that's it for now, I hope I got nice shots. These are raw photos, not yet modified in photoshop...

This is the very first shot I made using Nikon D5000. This lovely girl is living right next to my room. She visits my room everyday, just to check out how messy my place is.

Aerography Artworks On Cars

I am not an expert about cars but I am interested in artworks. I found cool, jaw-dropping examples of Aerography Artworks On Cars. They are so stunning. But first, Aerography is a surrealist method in which a stencil, which would have been used in spraypainting, is replaced by a three-dimensional object. This artwork is grabbing quick attention for enthusiasts.

Take a look at these photos and click here for more... Men, these are awesome!

These are one of my fav, I like goth, tribal and emo designs.

New Born Vampires

One of the scene in Eclipse movie - new born vamps are caming out from the water and disappeared in the forest.

Eclipse is the third sequel of Twilight Saga. When James was killed by the Cullens, Victoria is determined to take revenge for her mate, her objective is to kill Bella, but the problem is, Cullens are there to protect her, remember, that the Cullens are the biggest coven next to Volturi. Add to that is the werewolf pack are protecting the teritory, too. So, Victoria's option is to make an army of vampire to help her attack the Cullen and kill Bella.

Eclipse will be an exciting movie, full of action and flash back of some of the Cullen's "human life".

So, anyway, I can't tell you the every detail of the story...

Take a look at Allie's collections of photos, in Eclipse movie set - (Vancouver Canada). She got to visit the filming site and got great photos for us.

Weird Statues Around the World

I love to travel, but one thing I'm really hoping to happen, is to travel abroad and see great places. I never been out of the country, that is why I always browse photos of different places around the world and hoping I can go there in the future.

I found some weird statues built in different cities around the world and I want to visit these places sometime.

-Frustrated Businessman in Los Angeles-

-Big Thumb, Paris-

-Melting Cow Popsicle, Budapest-

-Pointer Finger, Stockholm-

I love to take my own photos of these statues.
