Reservatrol Benefits - Anti-aging and Antioxidant

It is a routine for me to read health articles before I start to work. About natural ways and tips on how to have a healthy body, lifestyle and younger looking skin. Of course we can't deny that we always want to look young and in fact, most of us are afraid or hate getting old. Stress, pollution, no exercise and the unhealthy foods are basically the main reason why people tend to look older at a young age or we can't maintain our young looks and beautiful skin when we reach the age of maturity. And the bad news is our average life span is getting shorter.

Recently, I read about an article about this natural substance discovered that is produced by several plants called Reservatrol that according to the scientists, can be an answer for our long search on how to slow the aging process. One of the Scientist that study this substance said, "some kind of a rejuvenation drug that would turn a 70-year-old into a 35-year-old".
Reservatrol can be found in skins of red fruits, red wine, grapes, seeds, peanuts, berries (especially, mulberries), various herbs, and propolis (a natural honeybee product) and is a constituent of red wine. Studies shows that it can be use as treatment for everything from heart disease, osteoarthritis, and cancer especially skin cancer. It is also known to improve the functioning of estrogen hormone and act as an effective enhancer of the neuroendocrine system. This particular property makes an excellent remedy among women, as women usually witness reduced estrogen activity in their system after menopause and suffer from many adverse health effects due to this shortage.

For now, research into the potential benefits of reservatrol is continuing and this could give us a great help in curing many diseases.

Mysterious Disease I'm Sure You'd Never Heard Of...

We are living in an unforgiving strange world, yet a beautiful place to live in. There are still lots of mysterious matter we are about to know. Things that perhaps will take years us to understand. How about some mysterious diseases? Check this out.

Alice in Wonderland Syndrome
This is one of my old time favorite story, I watched the animated film a hundred times, I can say... and I'm glad there is a Semi-3D movie that is coming. But, I never expected to read about a disease that is called an Alice inWonderland Syndrome. Sounds so bizarre!

This disease id also known as Todd's syndrome. It is a disorienting neurological condition which affects human perception. Sufferers may experience size distortion of other sensory modalities. Reports suggests that the symptoms of AIWS are fairly common in childhood, with many people growing out of them in their teens. It appears that AIWS is also a common experience at sleep onset.

Treatment is the same as that for other migraine prophylaxis: anticonvulsants, antidepressants, beta blockers, and calcium channel blockers, along with strict adherence to the migraine diet. No studies are available that display any correlation between age, gender or race. AIWS is thought to be relatively common among migraine sufferers.

Pica

This is really a strange illnes. A pregnant women or children developed an appetite to eat non-nutritive substances, such as paint, clay, plaster or dirt (ewwww!!!), or alternatively items that are more commonly considered to be food ingredients, such as raw rice, flour or salt.

Moebius syndrome

An extremely rare genetic disorder. Characterized by complete facial paralysis. Sufferers cannot close their eyes, look from side to side, or form facial expressions. Limb abnormalities such as clubbed feet and missing fingers are often also present. But they can live long healthy lives.

Barack Obama Plan To Lower Health Insurance Plan

Health care costs are skyrocketing. In fact health premiums had doubled for the past few years. Which is kind of alarming. American families who have a minimum wage or the average earners wasn't able to afford the plan and this is an important thing that a family should avail. It is a good thing that Pres. Obama gives attention to this problem.

Barack Obama plan to lower health care costs and ensure affordable, accessible health coverage for all. This is a big relief for everybody, they can now afford a low health care plan. Tonic Health is one of the health insurance that provide low and efficient plan cost. This is a health insurance plan offered by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. They offer plans in six states.

Tick Saliva May Cure Skin, Liver and Pancreas Cancer

Okay, don't underestimate the power of creepiness what I'm going to tell you about today. I am talking about the tick. The tiny creepy crawling creature, that gives you an itchy bite. There are many species of tick, anyway. Brazilian researchers Amblyomma cajennense tick, found in horses and donkeys contains interesting protein in its spit.
According to AFP, the Factor X active protein in the tick spit "shares some characteristics with a common anti-coagulant called TFPI (Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor), specifically a Kunitz-type inhibitor which also has been shown to interfere with cell growth." Since a cancer is basically a group of cells that are growing out of control, controlling this growth is very important.

The protein was tested on cultures of cancerous cells and "exceeded all expectations." It didn't kill normal cells, just those with cancer!

So that little blood suckers might be the key to cure cancers of the skin, liver and pancreas. But of course, these results are still just phase 1, scientists might yet hit speed bumps, or even walls, and not be able to turn this into a cancer treatment. And even if everything works fine, it could take a few years before a drug is made.

But we have to admit it's very promising, and goes to show that we still have much to learn from nature and that when we destroy it, we could be losing things like... tick spit.

Ultrafine Particles

Living in a big city is not quite healthy. We can find all kinds of pollutants that could harm our health, add to that the stress, unhealthy foods and unhealthy lifestyle triggers our body to catch all kinds of illnesses. Air pollution is everywhere, its what we are breathing in our everyday busy life, although more developed countries are doing some research inventing machines to resolve this problem, but what about the developing countries, its the most contributors to pollute the air we breath. And mostly we don't have the technologies and high budget to to something about this. I just read an article recently that says, a new studies had found out that road tunnels have a highest concentration of pollutants that is called ultrafine particles. The study was done in Sydney.
A toxic cocktail of ultrafine particles is lurking inside road tunnels in concentration levels so high they have the potential to harm drivers and passengers, a new study has found.

Road tunnels were locations where maximum exposure to dangerous ultrafine particles in addition to other pollutants occurred, this may give more risks to drivers and passengers like me, to think that they are being exposed in this place in everyday basis.
"The human health effects of exposure to ultrafine particles produced by fuel combustion are generally regarded as detrimental," Professor Morawska said.

Effects of ultrafine range from minor respiratory problems in healthy people, to acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) in people with existing heart complaints. So its really alarming, more people living in the cities have higher rate of respiratory diseases. According to Professor Morawska, drivers and occupants of new vehicles which had their windows closed were safer than people travelling in older vehicles. And the people who are driving of motorcycles are the one exposed to this pollutants.

It should be a good challenge for the govertment to do something to remove this dangerous air pollutants.
