...Home...

Home sweet home at last! I wasn't able to visit my hometown for two years which seems like a hundred years ago. This morning, I was thrilled to wake up seeing Mom's flowering garden.

The roses are blooming... My favorite are those tiny red roses.

And I love those orchids too!

And my Mom's favorite are Euphorbia plants. These flowers makes the morning so great.

I had a good sleep, I should say. I never had a long night sleep since I moved to the city. I miss everything here, the cool fresh air, the sea and the rain. Well, I'm going to stay here for a week and will definitely going to have fun with everybody here.

That's it for now, T.T.F.N--Tah-tah-for-now!!!

Earth Hour

Few minutes from now, I'll log off, switch off the lights and all electrical equipment to get involve in Earth Hour. Last year Philippines got the rank 1 out of 88 countries who participated the event. We got the largest number of participants who joined this event.

Earth Hour was pioneered by Australia and now it is being celebrated around the world. Even at home, we can do something and support Earth Hour.

Let's all take a stand to save energy and save the earth! This is our place and we have to take care of it.

Everybody lets all switch off our lights!

Chilly Escapade - Foggy Heights

We had a chilly escapade last Sunday. Since its summer, the weather is really really hot and the sea is boiling hot, surely crowded by tourists. Me and friends had decided to go swimming in Tagaytay. The place is is located in high place and it is a good idea to stay there on summer.

Little did we know, when we reach the place, its way colder than we think. Its windy and the air is so chilly!

We rented a rest house, because we want to have privacy and well, its a nice place..

We had everything we need, a small basketball court, a billiard area and a nice cozy room. We enjoyed the whole time, had a nice chat and cook some food. It feels so great to be relaxed and forget the stressful things for a while. In fact, it seems like we don't wanna go back to the busy and noisy city again.

I hope I have my own pool too, so that every time I am piss off, all I have to do is dive and swim as long as I could until the negative vibe is gone.

Sugar Rush

Still busy... Hoping to have time to relax and chill. I spent a lot of time at work, 14 hours a day in the office, go home just to take a short sleep and have a refreshing bath then go back to work again.

And when things around get so stressful and demand a full mind and body alertness, I always crave for something yummy and sweet. So I had enjoyed these tasty sweets last week.

Sometimes sugar rush helps to help my mind up and running :)

Tiger Text

I heard an amazing news this morning. Its about a new iPhone and Blackberry application called tigertext. This application is available only for blackberry and iphone users in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, and Canada through the iTunes App Store in each country (for now).

The best thing about this application is that, when you use this, you can erase text messages from your recipients phones. A sender can set how long they want the message to stay on a recipient's phone before it is deleted for good or a sender can choose a "delete on read" setting, giving people a set time to look at the text before the message self-destructs. wow, last year, I posted something called vanish, a technology that is designed to make your electronic messages just literally vanish! Now, apple had succeeded in making this application. And yes, we have to expect more new applications that would able to do limitless things.

But you know this one is some kind of tricky, I should say, because there are flaws for everything we created how much it will appear or sound awesome. For example, this new application can be use to erase the evidence of a certain crime. Anyhow, this is a great application!

GoNuts

I am used to not to eat rice at dinner. Instead, I eat bread or biscuit with a glass of milk. Last night I enjoyed some donuts with coke. My friend bought a box of sweet donuts and we had a nice chat in her friend's house.

Eclipse Movie 10 sec teaser trailer

Pentax 645D medium format DSLR

I am so trilled and amazed when Hoya Corporation Pentax announced PENTAX 645D lens-interchangeable, medium-format digital SLR camera. Actually, my friend is planning to buy a new SLR and I am posting this blog for her.

So as I was saying, the new Pentax products boast its large image sensor, equal in performance to professional-standard digital camera backs, this high-performance model delivers super-high-resolution images with approximately 40 effective megapixels--40 mega pixels, wow! It also offers outstanding dependability and superb operability and maneuverability to make outdoor shooting effortless and comfortable for demanding photographers.

It combines exceptional image quality with excellent maneuverability and outstanding reliability to simplify professional-level outdoor shooting. Thanks to the incorporation of a large, high-performance image sensor (measuring 44mm by 33mm) and PENTAXoriginal image-processing technology, it produces extra-sharp, super-high-resolution images with approximately 40 effective megapixels. It features remarkable durability and dependability, thanks to its lightweight but solidly built body featuring a magnesium-steel-alloy frame, reinforced glass LCD panel protectors and a reliable dustproof, weather-resistant construction. In addition, it is designed to be compatible with the majority of the existing PENTAX 645 system, so that current PENTAX 645-series camera users can take advantage of their valuable assets, including high-performance smc PENTAX 645 interchangeable lenses.

Click here for the full specs and review. The camera will initially be available only in the Japanese market at a suggested retail price of ¥850,000 (US $9,400) from May 2010.

Girl's Night Out

Last weekend was a combination of great and chaotic weekend. First, I got to unwind for just a few hours, and I had a great time. I enjoyed having dinner outside. Its like a trend here where, friends and co-workers would love to eat outside and had a nice chat and mostly rant about anything.

So that's what we did last Saturday, me and friends dine-in to a nice restaurant--Giligans in Quezon City, its a Girl's night out, actually and a post-birthday celebration of my friend. The prices are so affordable and and they serve Filipino dishes and I love it.

And these are the food that we ate.

And, we saw Baby James running around Timezone.

I mentioned something about "chaotic weekend", because after having a good time, I was confronted by a weird, irresponsible, and unprofessional lady about something I didn't do. I got so mad and almost give a mayhem. The next day, I became so distress, can't sleep and can't eat...

Now, I am about to leave the pink house and start again.

Fireworks!

I enjoyed watching fireworks competition last week. Its the first musical pyrotechnics olympics. Last week, was France and Japan's turn. Unfortunately, we arrived late and we didn't found a good spot to take good photos of the fireworks.

This is my very first time firework photography and still working with my camera settings, my big mistake is I forgot to bring my tripod.

Good job little boy, you are blocking the veiw, hope not to see you next week...

My camera settings for these photos:

Aperture Priority
ISO-200
F/3 - F/10

I'll definitely will post another fireworks photos next time, just wanna share these with you. My next project is photographing the moon and sunset.

What a Life

Sometimes walking away is the least I can do to think and look around. Because in times of down fall, we tend to be blind and won't see the bright side of life.

I'm still not okay; honestly, I can see that everything was screwed-up, that I almost can't think of something to resolve it. I feel like I have to start all over again. If only life is like a computer, that when it hang-up, I could easily reboot it or when it got virus, reformatting is always the best solution. But life for me is so complex, yes... it is. Life is full uncertainty, and I'm sure you would agree with me.

These past days, I frequently ask myself "what is wrong? This should not suppose to happen because this is not my plan. What should I do?"

A friend asked me "what do you really want?" I just said, "I want something more than what is happening now, and more than what I have now." But I am not certain what it is... It must be true that I turned to be someone who doesn't accept whatever I have, and failed to look at the bright side of life. I ignored everything nice around me and it made me feel frustrated. Longing for something I am not sure about.

So last Sunday, I walked away, I decided to go to a place where I go to work everyday, six days a week.

I've been here for more than five years, but you know, I never noticed how beautiful this place is. In fact, one of my dreams is to work here.

The buildings and everything around are beautiful and I failed to appreciate it. In fact everyone wishes to work in this kind of place.

And this one is where everybody walk everyday, on rush hour.

It made me feel better for now. Things must be settled down, and I decided to hold on. Go with the flow of life and do what is best because the most predictable thing in life is unpredictability. So, for now, I am waiting for a better day.

So worried...

Haiti is still in the process of recovering from the tragedy, and another earthquake happened in Chile that affected other nearby countries. I am sad and offering my prayers for the people there.

Also I am worrying for my family because my hometown is on alert for a possible tsunami. Bicol region is in front of Pacific Ocean, which is just miles across Hawaii. A high magnitude earthquake from Paficic Ocean can trigger a huge tsunami that will be enough to reach places like Bicol Region. I am praying for my family, friends and fellow Bicolanos to be safe from a possible danger. I talked to my Mom awhile ago and said they are ready to evacuate to higher ground and the athorities are in full alert to help everybody.

God is with us and I know He will make everybody safe.
